Curriculum Resources for Missions

While on the mission field, I created tons of illustrations and curriculum resources. When we came back to the states, I continued creating resources, first as part of the Creative Arts team with Team Expansion, then as a volunteer once I became part of the staff of Highland Park Christian Church.

I have been creating illustrations to contribute to a curriculum package for use in missions and ministry. Here are some of that I have done or reformatted this past year.

Here's some of the latest images I have drawn for a children's curriculum in a closed mission field. One was drawn with my Microsoft Surface Pro with a pressure sensitive pen. The Empty Tomb

So, about a month ago, I was asked to help design and build a tomb for an actor portraying Jesus to emerge from on Easter Sunday at Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I was part of a creative team that did similar set design and building at East Tulsa Christian Church for years. It was great to be involved and I had fun working on it with some of the same people I used to create sets with. Here are some pictures of the process and the final shots, followed by a short video of the tomb in action.

The Church is the Bride

A few weeks ago, we had a special celebration service and both of our Life Groups met together. Jason was speaking about the different things that come to mind when you hear "church" and he asked me to do a special art thing. Basically, while he was speaking I was to draw whatever came to my mind about the church. One of my favorite views, is that of the bride. So, I sought to do some sort of piece with that in mind. So here it is and a close-up of Jesus' face below.
